Dr. Pareek is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery and an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. His practice centers on arthroscopic surgery and joint preservation of the hip, knee, and shoulder, with the goal of returning patients to active lives, including those who want to avoid or delay joint replacement.
He studied applied mathematics at Brown University, earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic. He then completed a two-year fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at HSS, followed by a European traveling fellowship in knee preservation and complex knee reconstruction. Where appropriate, he uses biologic treatments such as PRP and bone marrow aspirate to support recovery.
Dr. Pareek has cared for athletes at every level, including the New York Mets and New York Knicks. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, and his research applies artificial intelligence and digital health to improve diagnosis and surgical outcomes.

Text messaging (SMS) program terms
Program description. AP HealthTech LLC, on behalf of the practice of Ayoosh Pareek, MD, sends text messages to patients who have opted in. Messages include visit follow-ups, appointment-related information, and requests for feedback or reviews about the patient's experience. Messages do not contain medical test results or diagnoses.
How you opt in. Patients opt in by checking the text message consent box on the practice's intake form, or by giving verbal consent to staff at check-in, which is recorded in the patient's chart. The consent language reads:
Message frequency. Message frequency varies, typically no more than a few messages per visit.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.
Help. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact the office at 212.606.1493.
Not required for care. Consenting to text messages is not a condition of receiving treatment.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
